Abstract

Complex study of relief forms and sediments was carried out in the Central and Eastern parts of the Russian Plain. For the first time, the fragments of ancient denudation surfaces and ancient fluvial valleys, the end moraine seedbeds and the fluvioglacial fields of Late Pliocene–Early Pleistocene have been determined based on the lithologic-mineralogical, palynological data and definitions of absolute age by the radiothermoluminescent (RTL) method. These new data not only complement but also provide a new perspective on the relief and sediment development of the central and eastern parts of the Russian Plain.
