Ricerche geomorfologiche nell’Alta Val di Peio (Gruppo del Cevedale)
Geomorphological research in the upper Val di Pejo (Cevedale Group, Central Alps, Italy)
Abstract
This geomorphological research is the result of a study carried out by specialists from different universities and promoted by the National Group of Physical Geography and Geomorphology of the CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche). The aim was to gather the Italian researchers who usually work in the field of Geomorphology and related sciences in order to probe, by means of field work stages and scientific seminars, some topics conceming glacial and periglacial morphology. As a matter of fact the functions of the group are first of all to coordinate the activity of the research, by favouring the scientific meetings in order to go deep into the research methodologies and to keep in touch with the international geomorphological organizations, particularly with the IGU, its Commissions and its Working Groups. The researches started with a field work stage (July 1982) with the partecipation of 24 researchers from 11 universities. The Italian Glaciological Committee contributed to the research. A second stage was held in September 1983 and it was joined by five researchers who did not attend the first one. The names of all the participants are reported on the geomorphological map.
