Glaciologie et production hydroélectrique en Suisse
Glaciology and hydroelectric production in Switzerland
Keywords:
Glaciers, Climatic change, Hydroelectric energy, SwitzerlandAbstract
Hydraulic power stations cover 60% of the production of electricity in Switzerland. The combination of the glacier runoff of solid or liquid precipitations assure a good diversification of the hydroelectric production’s resources. The authors analyse the evolution at a medium term of the different factors determining hydroelectric resources with some particular examples. The conclusion of this study is that the important diminution of the glacier’s mass during this century will not be without influence on the electricity supply in the future.
